We, MICHAEL, by the Grace of God, Primate of the Orthodox Church in America and Other Nations and Vicar of the Autonomous Synod of Bishops – Apostolic Orthodox Church in the United States of America, declare our allegiance to the founding hierarchs of the Apostolic Orthodox Church, who based their canonical existence on the decisions of the Local Council of 1917-1918, the Resolution of His Holiness Patriarch Tikhon No. 362 of November 7/20, 1920 and Canons 89, 90 and 60 of the APC, and the “Declaration on the Revival of Orthodoxy,” jointly published in 2000 by the holy priest-confessor Gleb Yakunin, one of the founders of the APC, who fought for the principle of freedom of conscience in the Soviet Union.

In light of the emergence of canonical violations by the Primate and Hierarchs of the "APC" = OPOAT, along with written testimonies and video recordings documenting such activities, which violate the Sacred Canons of the APC and are completely incompatible with the Sacred Offices of the Primate and Hierarch, as well as with Christianity…, the Clergy and faithful continue to ask us questions.

WHEREFORE, in order to preserve the faith, integrity, and purpose of the Orthodox Church in America and Other Nations, we join the Metropolitan and Hierarchs of the COAC who voted in 2018 to break communion with the Primate of the "APC" = OPOAT and all who commune with and support them.
